Objective: Players take turns collectively singing a story, trying not to mess up
Instructions:
Many singers, one host, and one accompanist needed
The host will point at a person to indicate they should be singing
As soon as the host points at a person, they pick up right where the song was
If a singer doesn’t keep the song’s flow, they are eliminated
The last singer standing wins
Example:
Host: “Can I get a suggestion of anything at all?”
Audience: “Swimming”
Host: “We present to you a song about swimming”
*Accompanist starts playing*
*Host points to singer 1*
Singer 1: “There once was a woman, who wanted to learn how to…”
*Host points to singer 4*
Singer 4: “…learn how to swim. She went to take lessons…”
*Host points to singer 2*
Singer 2: “…lessons from…”
*Host eliminates singer 2*
*Accompanist starts playing again*
*Host points to singer 3*
Singer 3: “After she took those lessons, she wanted to test out…”
*Keep going until one singer is left*
Notes:
Make sure when you are pointed at, you pick up EXACTLY where the song left off; don’t repeat a word nor use a word that would be grammatically incorrect.
If someone is eliminated, don’t argue; just exit gracefully.
